Christmas Crafts & Decorations

Christmas 2011- Old House
Reworked a piece in a vase and made it more rustic with hay bales, old jingle bells & old tin stars

Megan's Little room Tree- Black & Zebra & White

 Mine & Mark's 1st Tree- Texas Rustic

Megan's Wreath made from ornaments on a wire hanger. This was the second year for this. The ornaments were nicer ones and kind of heavy so it began to sag :(  So, this past Christmas, I just updated it and made a wreath for her bedroom door!

My little green bead tree! I hung the pictures of the boys and Santa from each year.

Mark's old cowboy hat as the tree topper!

Christmas 2012

Another easy wreath to add in some "rustic." Rope and red berries- I might do something with burlap this year??

Simple! Added in faux deer antlers (painted brown), some berries and old jingle bells!

My aunt gave me a cross candle pin, so I added a little burlap and stuck it in a candle and put it in the center of a little berry wreath that I picked up at the Thrift store.

I tried my hand at painting on canvas. UUMMM- NOT a favorite. It took me a few canvases to make it presentable. I was making one of these for my friend, Jennie for Christmas and if I was going to make her one, I had to have one also. heehee!

Print out Ho! Ho! Ho! on scrapbook paper, paint you some frames, add a bow or other decoration and there ya go!

I found an old little mailbox ornament at a thrift shop and put our name on it and made a little package to lay in the door.  It's very fragile, but one of my favorite.

Being in a new house and going for a certain "look," I conned my mom into helping me. I am not a seamstress and she can sew ANYTHING!  I LOVE our stockings!

Everyone has their initial and the detail is slightly different!

Each year, the boys make a gingerbread house. They aren't the most fanciest- but they do it themselves!
I save this for when they have been out of school awhile and waiting on Christmas Day.

The boys also make reindeer food with Shredded Wheat and glitter and sprinkle it out on the lawn Christmas Eve after church.

I store their Christmas books all year and then get them out with all of the decorations and it is exciting to see them each year! I wrap a basket in garland and then add a bow! FESTIVE!

An old window, that I broke out the glass, painted a board with chalkboard paint and used it as a way to tell guests what the beverage choices were!

And, Santa does come for all who believe!!
